Shipping and General Information
How long will it take to get my beading supplies package?
Orders are shipped using Canada Post. Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days. Larger orders over $250 may take longer. Earring orders take 2-5 business days to create, Medallions approx. 7 days. All products will ship within 3 days. (Some exceptions are holidays or large orders). Please plan ahead for custom orders.
Tracked package/order is assigned a tracking number from Canada Post, which will be emailed to your inbox. For delivery to some international countries, it may not be possible to track your parcel past the point of exit of Canada, as the postal provider in your country may not provide this service.
For your peace of mind, Carie McBain Creations & Supplies has removed any non-tracked shipping. Your package will be shipped using tracked shipping of your choice. We are please to announce that all orders over $200 before taxes will receive "FREE" shipping.
How much is standard shipping?
Shopify takes care of all this. Shipping costs for all orders are calculated automatically at checkout based on weight and location. Tracked mail within Canada and USA is automatically calculated based on weight of packages. For those remote area's in Canada that have expensive shipping rates we have added a flat box rate anywhere in Canada. This guarantee's that your shipping will not exceed $22.00 if selected.
Every Country has different shipping times and delivery methods. USA order can take up to 2-6 weeks. Please allow yourself enough time if shipping Internationally. We can work with you to facilitate the fastest turnaround possible.
What materials are used for beadwork orders?
All earring findings are nickel free and hypoallergenic. You can choose gold upon request. I use pellon beading felt or goodfelt. It’s lightweight and very durable. You can choose from different leather (Deer or Moose) or pretty sparkly backing. All of my creations are handmade by myself and will be posted on my social media for showcase.
How long will it take to get my beadwork shipped?
Please allow time for my creation process, customized beadwork orders of earrings will take 3-5 business days to create for each set. This depends on how busy I get with orders. Your item will be shipped within 1-3 business days of creation.
How do I get a customized Carie McBain Creations & Supplies beadwork order?
Please use my custom order link and let me know the style/type/colour choice (or a Carie McBain Creations & Supplies picture from instagram) that you would like to be recreated. If you have an item you wish to match please send a photo of this item. It will help my creation process. An estimate quote will be created based on time and supplies. All beadwork orders must be paid in full once the quote is agreed upon, and an invoice will be sent to your Carie McBain Creations & Supplies account email. Once paid, it will take 3-5 Business days per item ordered or an agreed upon time. A general idea for cost is $20 an hour plus supplies, for example an earring can take three hours to complete from start to finish, plus $5 in supplies will equal to $65.00 plus shipping costs.
When does my package get shipped?
Orders are shipped weekly on Monday to Friday with the exception of public holidays. Canada Post is NOT open locally on the weekends.
**NOTE** We do NOT ship on weekends. If you choose Priority Post your package will be mailed out on the next business day. EG: If you order Friday night your package will be shipped on Monday morning.
What if my billing and shipping address are different?
Please make sure the information on your account is accurate. All orders will be sent to the shipping address you enter on your account. Shipping charges for the return and resending is at your expense.
What payments does Carie McBain Creations & Supplies accept? Am I able to pay with EMT?
We accept credit cards via Shopify Payments, PayPal and EMT. EMT is available to our Canadian customers only. Email money transfers (EMT) can be sent to carie.mcbain@gmail.com, which is set up for auto deposit. If your bank does require a password, we suggest “beads” as an acceptable password for email money transfers.
Do you have First Nation tax policy?
Yes we do have a First Nations tax policy. Please note that First Nations persons can be eligible based on CRA requirements of online shipping to First Nations communities. More information can be found on our First Nations Tax Policy Page. All orders are charged tax on shipping. Orders without tax exemptions are subject to provincial/federal taxes in Canada. International orders are not subject to sales tax.
Can I order using International shipping?
We are located in Canada, and we ship to all countries that Canada Post ships to. There will be extra shipping cost and wait time for International orders outside of North America. International shipping is calculated automatically from Canada Post at checkout. Only tracking shipping is available to international orders.
You may be required to pay duties, taxes or other customs charges on your order when received in your country (USA/International). We are not responsible for duty/custom fees.
My package is missing an item?
We are sorry our store missed adding an item to your order. Please kindly report any missing items within 30 days of placing your order to carie.mcbain@gmail.com. Quote your order number with your email, and your cause for concern. We will investigate the problem and report back as soon as we have information for you. We have two options, which are to resend the missing item or to refund. If you have a preference please let us know in your email.
My item arrived broken or damaged?
We’re very sorry that some of your items/item may have been damaged while enroute to it’s final destination, we do not accept liability for loss/damaged as a result of delivery or damage arising from items that may have been lost via lettermail, stolen, or damaged after goods have been delivered.

My order never arrived?
We are sorry to hear your package has not yet arrived. If you feel the appropriate time has passed (more than 21 days) then contact us at carie.mcbain@gmail.com and we will help investigate the problem. At rare times, Canada Post can return to Carie McBain Creations & Supplies (this takes 10 business days to process).
Please note ** All Tracked packages have insurance provided by Canada Post, which must be claimed by the customer.
You are responsible to inquire about your damaged package with Canada Post with tracked packages by reporting a problem with Canada Post at the link below.
LOCAL PICKUP AVAILABLE at no cost.

Do my beads come in bags or vials?
Unless otherwise stated we ship all beads in bags.
